Fairfield County Economic Development today announced that Mecalac North America is relocating its operations from Massachusetts to Fairfield County, joining its parent company’s, FAYAT Group, North American campus. The move will support enhanced operational efficiency, collaboration, and long-term growth in the region.
The relocation enables closer integration with its parent organization, streamlining decision-making and leveraging shared resources across leadership, administration, and operations. By co-locating key functions, the company will improve coordination, accelerate execution, and drive sustained performance improvements.
“As we relocate to Ridgeway and join the FAYAT group campus, we are accelerating our ability to serve customers with faster parts availability, stronger technical support, and more integrated solutions across brands,” said Pierre Lahutte, President of Mecalac. “This step reinforces our confidence in North America’s growth potential and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering value to our customers and partners.”
The company will occupy space in the newly developed FAYAT Distribution facility in Fairfield Commerce Center, further reinforcing the strength of the corporate campus and its role as a hub for business activity in the region. This facility also stands as a tangible testament to the group’s engagement in the US market. This relocation reinforces their confidence in the region’s growth potential and its ability to better serve customers.
“This announcement reflects the continued momentum we are building in Fairfield County and the strength of our partnerships at every level,” said Clarence Gilbert, Chairman of Fairfield County Council. “We are proud to support companies that are making long-term investments in our community, and this project reinforces our commitment to creating opportunities that drive sustainable economic growth for our residents.”
“This announcement underscores the strength of our existing industry base and the importance of supporting companies as they grow. Projects like this demonstrate that Fairfield County is not only competitive in attracting new investment, but also in helping existing companies expand, align their operations, and succeed long-term.” Said, Ann Broadwater, Director of Fairfield County Economic Development
“This project reflects our commitment to supporting the continued growth of companies already operating in Fairfield County,” Said Vic Carpenter, County Administrator. “Through strong coordination with our partners, we work to ensure companies can expand efficiently and continue to succeed here.”
Fairfield County’s strategic location, competitive operating environment, and collaborative economic development approach continue to attract companies seeking to scale efficiently and invest in long-term success.
