Construction will result in $20 million new investment

Rock Hill, S.C.Atlas Copco, an industrial group which develops and manufactures industrial tools and construction equipment, is moving its Medical Gas Solutions Division, along with production and assembly for its U.S. Construction Technique into a new facility in Riverwalk Business Park. The expansion will result in a $20 million investment.

The company, which has more than 44,000 employees around the world and operates from 125 locations in the U.S., delivers industrial equipment focused on productivity, safety and energy efficiency.

To handle the company’s expanded operations in York County, Atlas Copco is constructing a 180,000-square-foot LEED-certified manufacturing and office facility. The building will be located on 34 acres in Riverwalk Business Park, a mixed-use development with easy interstate access and employee-friendly amenities.

Construction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017, and hiring for new positions is expected to begin late 2016. Those interested in joining the Atlas Copco team should visit the company’s careers page online. For more information about Atlas Copco, visit www.atlascopco.us.
