Economic Development Hat Trick along I-77 Corridor

A hat trick is usually used in reference to an ice hockey player scoring three goals in one game.  South Carolina officials and officials in Chester and York County experienced the economic development equivalent of a hat trick today as officials from three companies announced plans to build three separate facilities along the I-77 Corridor that represent $800 million of new investment and 7,100 new jobs.  The companies (Giti Tire USA, Lash Group, and LPL Financial) represent the largest number of jobs ever announced in one day in South Carolina.  Read more about the announcements here and here.
