YORK, S.C. – Meritor, a global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicle markets, is expanding its existing operations in York County. The $7.8 million investment is projected to create 26 new jobs.
Located at 801 Railroad Avenue in York, S.C., Meritor will be launching a new air disc brake caliper assembly line and a housing assembly line to support its growing air disc brake business. Hiring for the new positions is projected to begin in late summer 2018.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $100,000 Closing Fund grant to York County to assist with the costs of building upfits.
