Richland County’s Economic Development Office has hired Tiffany Harrison, a South Carolina Certified Economic Developer, as its new Deputy Director.
The Richland Economic Development office “works to expand, diversify and sustain the local economy by assisting companies that provide meaningful job opportunities and generate new wealth for its citizens.”
Before coming to Richland, Tiffany served as the Director of Economic Development at Fairfield County—another member of the I-77 Alliance—and also spent time working for the South Carolina Department of Commerce in Grants Administration.
At Fairfield, she was responsible for recruiting new industry, and supporting existing industry and product, infrastructure and workforce development. The county achieved a number of impressive accomplishments during Tiffany’s leadership there, including:
- Announced more than 860 new jobs and $33.5 million in new investment within a four-year period
- Assembled, master planned and developed a 686-acre Class A Industrial park
- Partnered with MTC to site and construct a Quick Jobs facility in Winnsboro
- Built two speculative buildings
